Cardamon (aka cardamom) Oil is highly prized as a spice known as the "Queen of Spices". It comes from the seed pods of a perennial plant in the ginger family (Zingiberaceae), primarily Elettaria cardamomum (green cardamom). Native to southern India and now widely grown in places like Guatemala, the plant produces fragrant green or dried pods containing small black seeds that are used whole or ground.
